About the Event
“Reasonable people adapt to the world; the unreasonable ones persist in trying to adapt the world to themselves. Therefore, all progress depends on unreasonable people.” George Bernard Shaw (adapted)
A Day of Unreasonable Conversation is an invitation-only annual gathering expressly designed to equip creators of television - including writers, artists, producers, and executives - for the year ahead by connecting creators of popular culture with leading changemakers to engage in critical discourse on the most urgent issues of our time. The event serves as TV’s agnostic and reputable source for diverse conversation. UC is the platform through which we multiply connection and collaboration between the people who create pop culture for a living directly and the people who create social change for a living. Our shared purpose will be to unlock progress through the power of narrative and creative expression.
This year’s event will take place at The Getty Center in late March. A Day of Unreasonable Conversation was founded by social impact agency Propper Daley, with partner agency Invisible Hand as creative directors. This year, it is co-chaired by actor, producer, and activist Kerry Washington, with her Simpson Street production partner Pilar Savone.
